Sailing Centre

Recently refurbished, the Nuffield Sailing Centre is set directly on the banks of the Menai Straits within the grounds of JSMTC Indefatigable and the facilities include showers, toilets, and a large balconied clubroom directly over looking the Menai Straits complete with bar and BBQ area.

Centre boats include 6 RS Feva's, for training and the suitably qualified, we have two Lasor Stratos and Dart16’s as well as two RIB’s for saftey and training.

The centre runs both RYA dingy and powerboat courses from Level 1 to Advanced Level on dates to suit you and these can be arranged by contacting the sail centre.

The Nuffield Sailing Centre ethos is that we provide courses and activities for you - on the dates that you want them.

Just contact us and tell us what you want, and when you want it, from a day’s fun on the water for you and your family or for your unit, squadron or troop or a specific RYA course or perhaps a series of courses.

Besides providing RYA courses, we can offer activities such as dingy sailing, catamaran sailing and powerboating. We can also offer other activities, just e-mail us to discuss what you want.

Groups are welcome to use the boathouse facilities with a balcony overlooking the Menai Straits and the barbeque area after your day on the water.

For boat owners who are members of the armed services, we have eight moorings in the Menai Straits rated to 11 tonne available to rent each season at extremely advantageous rates. Boat storage ashore is available at the Sailing Centre with permanent slipway access at all states of the tide, again at extremely
advantageous rates.
