Family Accommodation

The Family Accommodation is provided for British serving military personnel and their immediate family members (i.e. husband, wife, partner and children). Our wing consists of nine rooms of differing sizes, catering for both the smaller or larger families. Each room has an ensuite bathroom and a Freeview television and we have one room with an easy access ensuite bathroom. All bed linen is supplied, but unfortunately we do not supply towels. On request, we can provide cots for babies, but we would ask that you bring you own cot linen. Pets are NOT allowed in the Accommodation Wings.

Rooms 1 – 8 have access to two fully equipped self-catering kitchen / diners, complete with all cooking and dining utensils, including two gas hobs, ovens, microwaves, air fryers, fridges and freezers. The upstairs lounge area has a Smart television with a DVD player. Room 9 (The Flat), one of our Extra Large rooms, has it’s own private kitchen / dining area and a multiple shower ensuite bathroom.

Dormitory Accommodation

The Dormitory Wing offers Units or groups of serving personnel access up to a maximum total of 50 beds across 9 rooms at £14.00 per person per night. These rooms vary in size from a 4 – 8 person bunk style accommodation with designated female / male shower rooms and Lecture room. Occupants are required to provide their own towels, pillows, sleeping bags or single bed linen. Pets are not allowed in the Accommodation Wings.

Feeding options for On-Duty or Off-Duty personnel is to be requested via the Enquiry Form.

Camping

Our Campsite is adjacent to the Nuffield Sailing Centre on the banks of the Menai Strait. It was designed and planted to provide ‘alcoves’ for tents that are sheltered by shrubs and saplings that provide very effective wind breaks. Toilets, showers and washing up facilities are available within the Nuffield Sailing Centre, but please note, there are no electrical hook ups on the campsite. Unfortunately camper vans are not allowed on the JSMTC base.

All those who stay on the campsite are welcome to utilise the large laundry / drying room located at the top of the hill, adjacent to the dormitory accommodation wing, with 2 coin operated washing machines and facility to dry wet clothing or kit.

Dogs ARE allowed on the campsite and are to be kept on a lead at all time whilst on the JSMTC base.
